Snipd Podcast Summaries is an AI-powered podcast summarization tool that allows users to quickly get key insights from a podcast episode. Through the Snipd app, users can access audio and text summaries of podcast episodes generated by the AI system.
These summaries are designed to help users quickly understand the key points of the episode and identify the parts of the episode they may find most interesting. The AI-generated summaries are currently available for all episodes of the Lex Fridman Podcast, with more coming soon.
To use Snipd, users simply get the app, select the podcast episode they wish to summarize, and tap on the audio summary. This allows them to gain more knowledge in less time. In addition, Snipd also provides summaries for other top podcasts, such as those by Elon Musk, Joe Rogan and Mark Zuckerberg.
Currently, we are not yet making any money and are instead 100% focused on first building a great product that people love. However, we do need to make money at some point. For this, we plan to have a business model similar to how other podcast apps like Castro or Pocket Casts are doing it. This means a premium version and a free version. The premium version will definitely be without ads and most probably have some additional features. The free version then might have fewer features, have some restrictions (e.g. how many “snips” you can create), or be supported by promoted content.
How can I request a new feature?
Reach out to us using the in-app feedback form. Go to “Podcasts” or “Saved” and click on “Feedback” in the top right-hand corner of the screen.
How can I download episodes in order to listen & snip offline?
To download an episode simply click the download icon on an episode’s detail page. You can find and manage your downloaded episodes in “You” → “Settings”→ “Downloads”. You can listen to downloaded episodes without being connected to the internet and even snip your favorite moments.
